Application possibilities expanded

Siemens is expanding the range of applications for its Sitrans F C digital platform: The Sitrans FCT030 and FCT010 digital transmitters can now be used with the Sitrans F C MASS 2100 and FC300 Coriolis transducers for small nominal diameters from DI1.5 to DN15.

According to the manufacturer, this allows users to optimize measurements of low flow rates, for example in batch, dosing and filling applications. Users benefit from the measurement tolerance of 0.1 % of the flow rate or 0.5 kg/m3 for density measurement as well as the 100 Hz signal processing of the devices. The high update rate of the transmitted signals is intended to ensure high accuracy, as is required when filling beverage bottles, for example. In addition, the range of products has been expanded to make them suitable for use in large nominal diameters, which are common in the oil and gas, marine and chemical industries: The Sitrans FCS400 sensor, which is available in nominal sizes DN15 to DN80, is now also available in DN100 and DN150.
