The Smart Wiring software from Eplan, whose core functionality is the system-supported simple wiring of switchgear, is available in version 2.7.

The software, which could previously only be used locally on one end device, can now also be used on a central web server with client applications for all users. This allows project data to be provided, edited, saved and archived centrally. Another practical advantage: several users can access a project at the same time and edit the data in parallel. This is advantageous if several users are working on a series of enclosures or an order comprises several identical enclosures. According to the manufacturer, hosting the user settings is also made easier: with the central web server installation, program settings such as the color of the user interface or work directories can be defined individually for each user and saved centrally. When the Smart Wiring client connects to the web server, the last settings and project data defined by the user are loaded automatically. In addition, project information can now be provided with QR code support.
