Monitoring modules
Control of electrical three-phase networks
Bachmann has developed a controller-integrated grid measurement and monitoring module for three-phase electrical grids.
The GMP232 fits seamlessly into the 'M1' control world and, according to the manufacturer, offers additional calculation methods, high-precision frequency measurement and extended protection functions. Direct measurement up to 690 V, wide measurement and overload ranges as well as extensive integrated calculation functions make the module interesting for applications on power generation systems and for critical consumer outgoing circuits. In addition to measuring basic variables such as voltage, current, active and reactive power or frequency, the module offers monitoring functions as standard, which can be used to implement operational limit value monitoring as well as classic grid and system protection. Relay outputs integrated into the device enable the direct switching of two tripping circuits. All measurement, calculation and monitoring variables are available in the PLC program at all times. The plug-in module can be used to add functions such as three-phase current measurement and standardized protection functions to a freely programmable controller.
