IO-Link master
40 timestamps per channel
The IP67-rated 'Slim Line' Allen-Bradley IO-Link master ArmorBlock from Rockwell Automation allows users to access detailed sensor diagnostics in harsh operating environments.
The device expands the IO-Link portfolio and offers event and process timestamp functions for on-machine applications. The IO-Link master stores up to 40 timestamps of sensor events on each channel. This event history can be used to track changes and diagnose problems. In the event of a status change, input time stamps of all sensor data can also be sent to the controller. According to the provider, this and other diagnostics provided by the device can reduce troubleshooting time by up to 90 %. The IO-Link master can be integrated into a device-level ring architecture (DLR) using two embedded Ethernet switches. This reduces the number and length of cables to be laid and therefore potential sources of error. The device offers connection options for up to eight IO-Link sensors, standard sensors or actuators. The master and sensors use a common IP address.
