Set up TSN environments quickly
The TSN starter kit from Kontron helps to set up TSN environments quickly and securely. A PCIe card with an optimized DMA interface and eight DMA channels enables the alignment of TSN priorities in order to minimize latency and jitter.
The current IEEE 802.1Qbu standard makes it possible to pre-empt packets that require hard real-time.
802.1CB functionality ensures redundant frame transfer in safety-critical applications. Two different FPGA versions support shape-based or time-gate-based prioritization.
Kontron offers functional compliance tests for validation. An open62541-based demo application 'OPC-UA over TSN' helps to establish the data transfer. The card includes a switch to integrate additional devices. An updated 'NETCONF Daemon' based on 'netopeer2' provides centralized management.
