Application area for control system extended

B&R is expanding the X90 product line with three option boards that allow strain gages and an IO-Link master module to be connected to the control system for mobile machines.

The control unit can also be supplemented with relays for potential-free communication with normally open contacts.

Two strain gauge full bridges can be evaluated with the optional circuit board for strain gauges. The strain gauge full bridges are each connected to the control unit via an M12 plug. Another option board is the IO-Link master module, which enables communication with up to four intelligent IO-Link sensors and actuators. As a bidirectional digital communication interface, IO-Link enables the exchange of parameter data and diagnostic information, among other things. Finally, the relay option board makes it possible to exchange potential-free digital information with external systems. The board has five normally open contacts and can also be used for small loads.
