Stäubli has acquired RS Roman Seliger Amaturenfabrik GmbH, a manufacturer of standard and safety dry disconnect couplings. All employees of the acquired business unit will be integrated into the Fluid Connectors division, while the production facility in Norderstedt will become part of Stäubli's global production network. "Stäubli and Roman Seliger not only complement each other very well in terms of their product offering, we also share a long family tradition and common values. This merger is fully in line with our Group's strategy of combining organic growth with targeted acquisitions in terms of innovative products and technologies," says Rolf Strebel, CEO of Stäubli.
"With RS, we will be able to strengthen our position in the global market for fluid connectors and add new applications such as cryogenics and market segments such as oil and gas to our product range. It also allows us to further expand our R&D capabilities," adds André Lucchetti, Group Division Manager Fluid Connectors. "The decision to join forces with Stäubli was an easy one. RS Roman Seliger will benefit from this important step, which will ensure the continuous development of our employees and our products," says Dr. Jens Reppenhagen, former head of RS Roman Seliger, who will also manage the production facility in Norderstedt for Stäubli in the future.
