The connector is designed for currents of up to 550 A, depending on the conductor cross-section, with up to 100,000 mating cycles. Thanks to 'Multilam' contact technology, which, according to the manufacturer Stäubli, enables high current carrying capacity with minimal contact resistance, a long service life can be guaranteed. The connector is available in three versions: uninsulated without housing, insulated in a plastic housing and shielded/insulated in a metal housing. When unmated, the entire socket and pin parts are longitudinally watertight. Thanks to IP2X, the connector is protected against accidental contact. It can be used in various docking plates with different plate thicknesses and spacings. The use of plastic housings as an integrated protective measure reduces assembly work.
