The stainless steel enclosure series joins the GR series designed in glass fiber reinforced plastic and thus completes the portfolio of control and distribution solutions in type of protection Ex e (increased safety). The 'SR' series comprises over 30 enclosure sizes in stainless steel. To increase cost efficiency, the IP66/NEMA 4X enclosures are always reduced to a basic design. Any accessories, such as flange plates, hinges, latches or cover safety catches, are only integrated by Pepperl+Fuchs according to customer specifications.

The enclosures, which are certified for a temperature range of -60 to +120 °C, can be installed in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Strategically and technologically, the series fits in with the GR series, which comprises a range of IP66/NEMA 4X enclosures made of glass fiber-reinforced, antistatic and particularly resistant polyester.
