Scope of application extended

For the 'Sinamics V20', the smallest inverter in the Siemens portfolio, there is an expansion module for the acquisition and output of digital and analog signals.

Expansion module for the smallest inverter from Siemens

The Sinamics V20 I/O Extension Module is mounted on the inverter via Plug&Play and offers two additional input and output interfaces for 400 V each. This increases the flexibility and application range of the inverter. The extension module can be combined with other accessories from the 'Sinamics V20' portfolio via connection ports on the front and rear. These include, for example, the 'BOP' (Basic Operator Panel) and the 'BOP Interface'. With the expansion module, the inverter has additional functionalities such as the ability to control up to four pumps with just one drive. Typical areas of application for the inverter in combination with the I/O module are pump, fan and compressor applications as well as all applications with an output of 0.12 to 30 kW that have additional input and output interfaces.
