The PMC SC6 and PMC SI6 drive controllers have a compact design. This means that only a total width of 180 mm is required for six axes in the control cabinet. For commissioning the controllers, the motor data is parameterized easily and safely via the electronic motor nameplate, which provides all mechanically and electronically relevant motor data digitally. The drive controllers can be connected via communication protocols such as Ethercat and Profinet. The cabling effort is reduced thanks to hybrid cables, in which encoder communication and power transmission take place in one cable.

The PMC SI6 drive controller, which is supplied via the PMC PS6 power supply unit, is suitable for flexible use in large systems and machines with four or more axes. This is available in two different power supply unit sizes. This allows several power supply units to be operated in parallel, which enables the central PMC PS6 supply module to be scalable. An asymmetrical nominal current load is possible when using double-axis modules.

The compact stand-alone drive controllers PMC SC6 with integrated power supply are suitable for use in compact systems and machines. They are available as single and double-axis controllers for both asynchronous and synchronous servomotors. For machines with more than two axes, PMC SC6 can be extended with axis modules from the PMC SI6 drive controller. The axis module does not have an integrated power supply unit and is supplied by PMC SC6 via a DC link coupling.

The drive solution with PMC SC6 and PMC SI6 is controlled and evaluated via the PMCprimo motion control system from Pilz. As all plant functions are synchronized with each other in this way, this leads to smooth and precise production processes with minimal downtimes.
