a.b.jödden
Working at temperatures from -40 to +120 °C
A.B.Jödden offers inductive displacement transducers and fine probes for measuring displacements of up to ±10 mm with resolutions in the µm range. The plunger of the fine probes is pressed into the rest position by an integrated spring or, in the case of larger measuring travels, by an external spring.
The measuring tips (DIN 878 M 2.5) and the spring can be exchanged for different measuring tasks. Special versions of the SM20 and 21 series inductive probes (special potting compound and special connection leads) can be autoclaved for use in medical applications. This process is a form of steam sterilization and is considered one of the most reliable sterilization processes.
With limited installation space, the inductive displacement transducers with an outer diameter of 10 mm and an overall length of 20 mm offer a maximum measuring stroke of 8 mm with a linearity of 0.25 %. They can be used in a temperature range between -40 and +120 °C. Temperature compensation is not required due to the strictly symmetrical coil design. The external electronics convert the plunger movement into a displacement-proportional signal. High shock and vibration resistance (shock 250 g SRS; vibration 20 g rms) and protection class IP67 are achieved by the encapsulated design.
The SM12 series from a.b.jödden is designed for a maximum of two channels and is supplied as an open circuit board or installed in a standard rail housing.
