Program online
The Safety & Security Forum 2020
From June 22 to 24, this year's Safety & Security Forum will be all about functional safety and data security in industry and the automotive sector. The program of the event is now online.
The 'Forum Safety & Security' acts as a platform for the exchange of knowledge on the various problems and the latest developments in the field of information security as well as the functional safety of machines, systems and components. Participants can put together their own personal conference program from 40 presentations, divided into the sessions 'Industry', 'Automotive' and 'Methods and Tools'.
The following topics, among others, are planned for the 'Industry' session with a focus on mechanical engineering and production plant operators:
- Security requirements and technical challenges in IIoT applications
- Fine-grained security for connected industrial networks
- Secure remote maintenance - is it possible?
- Future-proof operation of machines after conversion or retrofit
- From rigid safety zones to flexible collaboration: a demonstration system for safe human-robot cooperation
- Challenges for safety technology in intelligent transportation systems
- Backup technology for control systems in industry
Two keynote speeches - "Avoidable Disasters" by Susanne Meiners, NewTec, and "Safety & Security by Design through Model-based and Automated Analyses" by Dr. Markus Fockel, Fraunhofer IEM - will set the scene for the event on June 23. The keynote speech on June 24 promises to be particularly exciting: Frank Eberle from Pilz will report on "Measures in product development after a cyber attack" - the hacker attack on Pilz last year will probably still be fresh in many people's minds.
Before the actual lecture program starts on 23 June, there will be an opportunity to take part in an introductory seminar by Prof. Dr. Peter Fromm from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences on 22 June.
DUE TO THE CURRENT SITUATION, THE FORUM SAFETY & SECURITY 2020 WILL TAKE PLACE AS A VIRTUAL CONFERENCE.
