Efficient double sheet detection
The smart inductive 'Full Inox' sensors from Contrinex inspect steel, aluminum and stainless steel sheets (other alloys on request) before they are fed into a forming press.
If two or more sheets stick together, the Contrinex sensor detects this and reports it to the machine control system. This then rejects the material and prevents the press from operating. The sensors work with a sensitivity of 0.5 to 3 mm per sheet when detecting double sheets. They have a robust one-piece stainless steel housing, are corrosion-resistant and meet the requirements of protection class IP68 and IP69K. Installation is carried out using the 'PocketCodr' handheld configurator and the 'ContriApp'.
