3D system planning right from the start

A virtual journey can help to efficiently define the appropriate level, interface and pressure solutions for refining and petrochemicals in a refinery in advance. Vega demonstrates this using a 3D animation.

Refineries have numerous complex production processes for processing crude oil into higher-value products. There are often many hundreds of meters and stations such as columns, depropanizers, flare systems and retention or condensate tanks between the individual process steps. Many process steps - distillation, cracking, desulphurization, filtration or storage - must interlock seamlessly.

What this looks like in detail can be seen on a tour with the 3D animation from Vega. With just a few mouse clicks, visitors can dive deep into the respective plant areas and see the use of the appropriate measurement technology in detail.

The video offers a brief insight into the extensive application areas of the digital tour.

You can experience the complete tour with all applications, areas of use and process stages here.
