Philipp Unterhalt strengthens management team
Since January 1, 2019, Philipp Unterhalt (pictured) has been a member of the Hahn Group's management team alongside Thomas Hähn and Klaus Siegmund. He is responsible for the 'Process Technologies' division and is dedicated to the expansion of digital services.
Philipp Unterhalt has been working for the Hahn Group as interim CEO of Rethink Robotics GmbH, a Hahn Group company in the Robotics division, since November 2018. In October 2018, the Group acquired the robot technology of US robotics pioneer Rethink Robotics with the aim of expanding its market position for automation and robot applications. Unterhalt will initially be responsible for building up the company until he can devote himself exclusively to his role as Managing Director of the Hahn Group in the near future.
Unterhalt has gained wide-ranging experience in the areas of corporate development, strategy, organization and M&A in various positions and companies at national and international level. Most recently, he was Head of Corporate Development at RAG-Stiftung Beteiligungsgesellschaft, where he was responsible for the development of automation activities and parts of the 'Consulting Engineers' segment. In this role, he was responsible for over 15 company acquisitions, including all Hahn Group transactions.
