Flexible handling of cylindrical objects

The company OnRobot has launched its first three-finger gripper as an alternative to conventional, pneumatically operated three-finger grippers.

With a load capacity of 15 kg and a span of 150 mm, the electric 3FG15 can flexibly handle objects of different shapes and sizes. The gripper can handle cylindrical parts with its three fingers, which was previously considered difficult to automate. It can grip with both positive and non-positive locking.
It has been specially designed for machine loading. With a gripping force of 20 to 240 N, it automatically centers the gripped workpiece, allowing a strong, stable grip and precise placement in the machine chuck. The gripper is also suitable for packaging and palletizing tasks.
