Exoskeletons in industrial use

Since 2012, Ottobock has been researching innovative solutions to make workplaces in industry, logistics and trade more ergonomic. The aim is to relieve the strain on people with physically demanding tasks, such as overhead work, and thus create healthier working conditions. The medical technology company founded the 'Ottobock Industrials' division for this purpose at the beginning of 2018. According to the company, the team draws on Ottobock's almost 100 years of biomechanical and orthopaedic expertise when developing new products.
