The manufacturer of precision drive systems and the robotic rehabilitation start-up are pooling their expertise to develop industry-leading technology products and platforms for the treatment of patients.
"The partnership between maxon and Fourier is a powerful combination," explains Eugen Elmiger, CEO of the maxon Group. "Fourier's understanding of the interplay between modern rehabilitation robotics and technological products perfectly complements maxon's philosophy of making the world a better place with our precise drive systems."

In addition, Maxon will become part of the Exoskeleton & Robotics Open Platform System, or EXOPS for short, an open platform for the research and development of exoskeleton and robotics systems. The drive specialist aims to provide prospective engineers who want to develop robotic solutions for rehabilitation services with a variety of customized drive options including motors, gearboxes, encoders and controllers.
"The partnership with Maxon will enable us to provide the best technology portfolio on which to conceptualize, design and build the next generation of transformative technology products and platforms," said Zen Koh, Co-Founder and Deputy CEO of Fourier Intelligence. "Together, as one team, we will unlock the full potential of technological rehabilitation and best support patients on their road to recovery."
