Dr. Heinrichs was previously Co-CEO of the robotics company Wandelbots and was responsible for the digital transformation at Robert Bosch as Executive Vice President until 2021.

Neura Robotics from Metzingen near Stuttgart presented the world's first market-ready cognitive robot 'MAiRA' in 2022, making it a pioneer in the combination of AI and robotics. MAiRA (Multi-sensing Intelligent Robotic Assistant) is cognitive and adaptive and can interact safely with humans when operated intuitively using words and gestures. In addition to seeing, hearing and touching, the robot is able to recognize people in its surroundings using a special sensor. According to Neura Robotics, this makes MAiRA the world's first robot capable of acting autonomously and predictively in a person's immediate environment.

Neura Robotics was founded in 2019 by David Reger with the aim of closing important innovation gaps in robotics and ushering in the age of cognitive robots. Like a smartphone manufacturer, the company combines all components and sensors as well as artificial intelligence in one device and offers partners a platform for the joint development of application apps for a wide range of specialist areas, the so-called 'Neuraverse'.
