Griessbach
Bus-compatible operating modules for mobile machines
For decentralized machine operation, Griessbach offers bus-capable input units with its CAN modules, which can be integrated into the control network with little assembly and installation effort.
The robust push-button modules with CANopen or J1939 interface can be configured as required and are particularly suitable for construction and agricultural machinery. For example, Krone, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery for forage harvesting technology, installs the keypads instead of individual pushbuttons in its transport wagons for loading hay, straw or silage. In addition to the pick-up device and the knife bar, the automatic grinding system and work lighting of the transport wagons are controlled via the CAN modules. Griessbach supplies the units to Krone as ready-to-install plug & play modules including a customized bootloader and J1939 interface.
The keypads, which are available with four to twelve input fields, are protected against mechanical stress, dust and moisture by full PU encapsulation of the entire module. The lighting options include illuminated keys equipped with RGB LEDs to clearly distinguish different machine functions from one another and arrange them into function groups based on their illumination color. In addition, warning or alarm signals can be identified for each button field by changing color using surrounding ring or segment lighting in the traffic light colors. Alternatively, the illuminated function of the segments can be used to indicate different switching levels.
