The technology group Rohde & Schwarz closed its 2020/2021 financial year (July to June) with sales of 2.34 billion euros. The operating result was almost at the previous year's level. The Group thus exceeded its target figures, which were adjusted in line with market developments. At the end of the fiscal year, Rohde & Schwarz employed around 13,000 people in more than 70 countries worldwide.
The company aims to drive forward 6G technologies, measurement technology for quantum computing, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), artificial intelligence and cloud technology. To this end, the Group has created a new structure with three divisions:
- The Metrology division supplies products for various market segments from Wireless to Industry, Components & Research and Automotive.
- The former Secure Communications, Monitoring & Network Testing and Broadcast & Media business units will be combined in the new Technology Systems division. In this division, Rohde & Schwarz bundles technological system expertise and resources in markets that are characterized by project business.
- The Networks & Cybersecurity division equips businesses and public authorities with secure WAN, LAN and WLAN network infrastructures and offers products to protect data transmission, end devices and applications.
