New date for the sensor industry
Sensor+Test returns to May from 2021
The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement expects synergies for visitors and exhibitors from the date coinciding with the PCIM Europe and SMTconnect trade fairs.
Sensor + Test, the trade fair for sensor, measuring and testing technology, will be held at the beginning of May from next year.
According to the AMA Association, the new date, May 4 to 6, 2021, is the result of lengthy but constructive coordination and planning between Messe Nürnberg, the AMA Association, the trade fair organizer and the Exhibitor Advisory Board.
"After the usual date could no longer be used for the event from 2018, it was postponed to the end of June. However, this change was not as well received as we had hoped. In particular, the situation immediately before the summer vacations put a noticeable strain on visitors and exhibitors," says Holger Bödeker, Managing Director of trade fair organizer AMA Service, explaining the situation.
This makes them all the happier with the new dates and the opportunity to have found a good solution for all sides at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. The new combination of Halls 1, 2 and 3C, which has been well received by exhibitors, will remain in place beyond 2020 thanks to the new concept. The planned new construction and expansion of the parking areas and connecting routes to local public transport will significantly increase convenience for visitors and exhibitors in the coming years.
"We very much welcome the new date, as it enables exhibitors to present developments and innovations to the interested public earlier in the year. We are also looking forward to the technologically interesting cooperation with the PCIM Europe and SMTconnect trade fairs taking place at the same time," explains Peter Krause, Chairman of the Board of the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement.
Building on the positive experiences from previous joint events, there are clear synergies and points of contact between Sensor+Test and PCIM Europe.
