Technologies relating to artificial intelligence, machine learning and the like will have a strong influence on systems and components and automation concepts in the future - especially in the field of industrial production and in the automotive sector. In response to this development, the trade media Elektronik, Elektronik automotive and Computer&AUTOMATION are organizing the 'Artificial Intelligence Forum' on 17 May 2018 in Stuttgart. In the keynote speeches, the speakers will first provide a general introduction to the new AI era, clarify terminology and describe strategies. The event will then be divided into three sessions: 'AI in embedded systems', 'AI in automotive and telematics' and 'AI in the factory'.

The potential applications of AI technologies are immense, especially in the factory - whether directly on the machine, in the drives, controllers or computer systems or even in the cloud. The session 'AI in the factory' will first show the status quo and then go into detail about the various AI possibilities in the industrial production environment. In addition, promising solution approaches and application examples that have already been put into practice will be highlighted and the resulting benefits of AI will be shown. Last but not least, ethical and legal issues will also be discussed.

The detailed program of the event and information on registration can be found on the congress homepage.
