Freely programmable
The ESX-4CS-GW is the first product in the fourth generation of control units from Sensor-Technik Wiedemann. As a communication gateway, it offers six CAN interfaces, a 4-port Ethernet switch, a LIN and an RS232 interface.
With an additional 14 analog and digital inputs and outputs in the standard configuration, the freely programmable controller can also take on small sensor-actuator management tasks. In the fourth generation of ESX controllers, the Infineon Aurix processor, which operates with three independent 32-bit triple-core processors at 300 MHz, ensures that tasks are processed quickly. The communication gateway complies with the CE and E1 conformity standards as well as the standards of the automotive, agricultural and construction machinery industries. Approval for safety-related applications in accordance with PLd (DIN EN ISO13489-1 2008-12) or SIL 2 (IEC 61508 Edition 2.0 2010-04) is planned. C and IEC 61131 are supported as programming languages. The respective development environments for this are Codesys and openSYDE.
