Extension via CPU

The control and I/O systems of the 'SLIO' series from Yaskawa can be supplemented 'slice by slice' with the required I/O modules and thus adapted to the respective automation task.

With the CPU 019PN, the range of applications is extended even further thanks to up to 6 MB of RAM, integrated Profibus and Profinet controllers and the license-free OPC UA server. According to Yaskawa, the CPU can be expanded by up to 64 signal and function modules. The 'WebVisu' app can be used for visualization with an additional SD card. The 48 Mbit/s backplane bus of the I/O system offers speed advantages, enabling fieldbus-independent switching with a time accuracy of ±1 μs. The SLIO CPUs are programmed with 'Speed7 Studio', 'Simatic Manager' or via the TIA Portal.
