Controls
Extended range of functions
Griessbach presents a control system for interior, transition and WC doors in rail vehicles: According to the company, the 32-bit module is characterized by a significantly increased range of functions.
For example, an inclination sensor system has been implemented that allows the door behavior to be precisely adjusted to the vehicle inclination via the door motor control, for example when cornering. The improved and smooth-running reversing function for obstacle detection reliably protects passengers and staff from crushing and pinching hazards, even at high door speeds. The integrated firmware offers various parameterization options to adjust the control unit flexibly and precisely to the individual door characteristics such as number of leaves, door weight, opening width and speed. In addition to direct current motors, three-phase motors can also be controlled. An energy-saving OLED display with a wide reading angle has been integrated for clear, high-contrast visualization of operating states, counter statuses, diagnostic and service information. Five navigation buttons are available for operation. In the standard version, the modules have two CAN interfaces for connection to the train bus system. If required, the manufacturer can also equip the control unit with interfaces for Ethernet, Profinet or TCP/IP. Two USB 2.0 interfaces are installed as standard for parameterization, service functions and software updates. The 32-bit controller meets all current standards with regard to temperature resistance, vibration and shock resistance in railroad operation. With its PC-ABS housing, it complies with the current fire protection standard EN 45545.
