Digital components integrated into the IP network

With the Smart I/O Controller with digital inputs and outputs from Microsens, users can easily integrate devices at the sensor-actuator level into the IP network.

Switches, sensors and actuators thus become part of the data network without needing their own IP connection and the associated cabling. The controller provides ten inputs and eight outputs for digital signals. It also offers a connection for supplying a device with 24 V(DC) up to 20 W. The controller itself can be powered either with 24 V(DC) or with Power-over-Ethernet via the data line. Its IP connection transmits data at 10/100 Mbit/s.

According to Microsens, a robust metal housing and a temperature resistance of -20 to +85 °C ensure that the device works reliably even in the harsher environments of a building. As part of the provider's 'Smart Building Solutions' product family, the 'Smart I/O Controller' bridges the gap between classic digital and IP technology. Communication between the controller and the network switch takes place via MQTT.
