AI at the Industrial Edge
Machine learning in increasingly extreme environments.
Machine learning has become widely accepted in industrial environments. But this is just the beginning. Moxa and Robotron will review current industrial IoT and edge computing applications and extrapolate for extreme environments.
Dr. Deepa Kasinathan, Systems Analyst at Robotron Database Software, and Herrmann Berg, Head of IIoT at Moxa Europe, welcome you to the presentation "AI at the Industrial Edge: Machine Learning in increasingly extreme environments".
Date: November 25, SPS Connect - 11:00 - 11:20 a.m.
About the speakers
Dr. Deepa Kasinathan is Systems Analyst at Robotron Datenbank-Software in Dresden and is Product Owner for Realtime Computer Vision (RCV). RCV is a modular platform with maximum flexibility that uses artificial intelligence and highly optimized deep learning algorithms for the implementation of various computer vision use cases.
She is part of a team that applies data-driven process optimization in industrial manufacturing environments to increase value creation and productivity. She holds a PhD in Computational Physics from the University of California - Davis and has done research at the Max Planck Society in the past.
Hermann Berg is Head of Industrial IoT at Moxa Europe in Munich. Hermann has 23 years of experience in technical and commercial roles in the ICT industry and 11 years in industrial automation in Europe, the US and Asia.
A mathematician and computer scientist by training, he prefers to work at the interface of technology and business, especially in B2B environments. This is why the current convergence of cloud/IT and industrial automation is one of the most exciting challenges of his career to date.
