The new unmanaged switches from Moxa are equipped with five to 18 ports as well as Gigabit combo ports for the reliable networking of more nodes and with higher bandwidths. The switches offer Quality of Service (QoS) and Broadcast Storm Protection (BSP) via DIP switch and enable networks to be expanded via plug-and-play.

The EDS-2005-EL/2008-EL series is an entry-level unmanaged switch for general automation. Moxa compares its size to that of a credit card. The operating temperature for the T models is specified as -40 to +75 °C. Models with RJ45 and multimode SC and ST fiber optic connections are available. Users can choose between IP40-certified metal or plastic housings.

The EDS-2000-ML series also has the same features, but these are unmanaged mainstream switches for mission-critical automation solutions. They offer automatic alerts for power and port failures, up to 2 Gigabit combo ports for fast and flexible uplinks, flexible mounting options and two power inputs. In addition, the series complies with various industrial certifications, including IECEx, C1D2, ATEX Zone 2 and, from Q4/2020, DNV GL.
