How can our world become more sustainable? Under what conditions is it possible to use artificial intelligence responsibly? How far has the Internet of Things come? These are just some of the questions that will be discussed at the embedded world Exhibition&Conference from March 14 to 16 at the Exhibition Center in Nuremberg. In six halls, companies will showcase their developments in embedded systems - from components and modules to operating systems, hardware and software design, M2M communication, services and the numerous issues involved in complex system design.

Over 200 hours of conference program

The trade fair will be accompanied by an extensive conference program. From over 360 submissions, the embedded world Conference Steering Board curated 65 sessions in nine tracks and 19 classes. 200 speakers from 26 countries will share their knowledge. Three keynote speakers await the conference participants:

Daniel Cooley, CTO of Silicon Labs, will speak about "Charting the Connected Future". Prof. Albert Heuberger, Fraunhofer IIS, will address the role of chip design and production for Europe's technological sovereignty. And Prof. Ali Hessami, Chair IEEE P7000 Technology Ethics Standard, will address ethical issues in connection with AI and autonomous systems. The electronic displays Conference (edC) 2023 will focus on technical developments in automotive and industrial displays, interfaces, touch with optical bonding and micro-LEDs. A keynote session with analyses of the global development of the display market will open the conference. The program reflects the dynamics of the display industry.

19. embedded award 2023

Once again this year, outstanding innovations will be honored with the embedded award. This year, a jury chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora will evaluate 98 submissions. "This year, I am impressed by the continued high level of innovation in the industry and especially by the pleasingly wide range of submissions. There are companies from all regions of the world. The applications came from many start-ups, smaller and larger SMEs and large corporations," said the jury chairman. There are now three nominees in each of eight categories. In addition to the familiar categories Hardware, Tools, Software, Embedded Vision, Safety&Security and Start-up, the embedded award 2023 will also be presented in the categories Artificial Intelligence and SoC/IP/IC Design (System-on-Chip/Intellectual Property/Integrated Circuit).
