embedded world goes West
NürnbergMesse is expanding its embedded world trade fair to the west: The first embedded world North America will be held in Austin, Texas, from October 8 to 10, 2024.
Following the premiere for embedded world China from 14 to 16 June 2023 in Shanghai, the North American edition is already the second international offshoot of the trade fair from Nuremberg: "Embedded systems can be found in almost every smart device today and are the basis for Industry 4.0. The demand from abroad for another international industry platform, which we will also offer in the USA in the future, is correspondingly high," says Prof. Dr. Roland Fleck, CEO NürnbergMesse Group. His CEO colleague Peter Ottmann adds: "With our new events in the USA and China, we are also serving the regional wishes and needs of our exhibitors and trade visitors in these two key markets of the embedded industry - and at the same time continuing our consistent international growth course."
According to the organizer, the concentration of industry giants such as AMD, Apple, Dell, Google, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Oracle and Wincor Nixdorf makes Austin the perfect venue for the first embedded world North America, which will take place in two halls at the Austin Convention Center. "North America traditionally plays a central role in the development of the embedded industry, also in terms of innovation. We are therefore convinced that embedded world North America will quickly find its place in the global network of the embedded community. I am very much looking forward to this forward-looking event," says Prof. Dr. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the embedded world Conference and Chairman of the Advisory Board.
Since NürnbergMesse and its partner WEKA Fachmedien will be serving the US market in future, it is also fulfilling the wishes of embedded world exhibitors. In a survey of exhibitors, they had signaled their participation in the US offshoot of embedded world: "There are various events for the electronics industry in the USA, but none that focus on embedded systems. We are closing this gap with embedded world North America," says Benedikt Weyerer, Executive Director embedded world.
The new event is being organized and staged by the US subsidiary of NürnbergMesse, based in Atlanta. Further information on embedded world North America can be found here.
