The presentation of the embedded awards has been a permanent fixture at embedded world since 2005. The companies submitted 98 applications - a new record for the embedded award. "This figure shows how highly regarded the award is in the embedded industry," says Benedikt Weyerer, Executive Director of embedded world Exhibition&Conference.

The embedded award will be presented for the first time in eight categories - two of which have been added this year: Artificial Intelligence and SoC/IP/IC Design complement the familiar embedded award categories Hardware, Tools, Software, Embedded Vision, Safety & Security and Startup this year.

Remarkable: Three of the eight award-winning companies are start-ups. "The fact that two start-ups won in the two categories with the most submissions - Hardware and Software - shows the high level of innovation with which start-ups are enriching the embedded industry," says jury president Prof. Dr.-Ing.
