Defy harsh environments

Siemens launches two fanless embedded industrial PCs - designed for harsh industrial environments.

The Simatic IPC427E embedded microbox PC features a fanless design and SSD (solid-state drive) hard disks or CFast memory without rotating parts and is therefore designed to offer high system availability. The device has three teaming-capable LAN 10/100/1000 Mbit/s connections as well as four high-speed USB 3.0 ports and two optional serial interfaces. The Microbox PC is suitable for top-hat rail, wall and front-book mounting and can be expanded via two PCIe slots. The Simatic IPC477E Embedded Panel PC can be installed in control cabinets and consoles as well as 19-inch cabinets/racks. The device, consisting of an operating unit with integrated computer unit, has two display ports, for example for additional monitors, and a wide range of interfaces: three LAN 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, four high-speed USB V3.0 and two COM (RS232/RS485).
