Security test suite for industrial networks
Siemens has expanded its industrial cybersecurity portfolio by launching an all-in-one security test suite for industrial communication networks.
The Sinec Security Inspector by Siemens is a framework for various cybersecurity tools that can be used to actively scan individual network devices, network segments or the entire network infrastructure during maintenance windows. It combines a selection of advanced testing tools integrated into a single user interface. The security test suite covers the following tasks: Asset identification and detection, compliance checks, malware scans and vulnerability checks. As an open framework, it includes vulnerability management applications provided by cybersecurity company Tenable in addition to security tools developed by Siemens. In addition, further internal and external test tools will be successively added to cover even more test cases in the future.
