Carrier boards in the 3.5-inch form factor

Congatec launches the 3.5-inch carrier board conga-SMC1/SMARC-x86. The size-optimized 'Smarc' 2.1 carrier board is application-ready and can therefore be used immediately in small to medium-sized series.

It is optimized for the fifth generation of Intel Atom, Celeron and Pentium processors as well as for future x86 generations with low power consumption, making 3.5-inch SBC designs modular.
The board's slot for 'Smarc' 2.1 processor modules offers processor socket-independent scalability. With fewer layers, the board layout of the carrier board is also less complex and therefore more cost-effective than a full-custom design, according to the manufacturer.
It offers audio codec and USB-C implementation that are specially optimized for Intel Atom processor technology.
It is also optimized for MIPI cameras.
