Backup software independent of the operating system
ICP Germany offers Waxar's backup software together with the computers from its portfolio. This can be used to create a backup file of production-relevant data from the data carrier of an IPC that is used to control production machines.
It enables the rapid restoration of system functionality in the event of a control system failure due to malware attack or manipulation.
The backup software works independently of the operating system and backs up the data from the hard disk of the industrial computer bit by bit.
To ensure that the production system is not affected, the software is executed from an external storage unit on which the backup file is also created. Data backup and restore are fully automated. The ImageStick and Waxar InstantImage products are offered in a bundle with the industrial computers from ICP Germany. Although they have an identical core, they differ in terms of additional functionality such as the option to choose between incremental and differential backup and encryption.
