The use of M12 instead of classic RJ45 connectors enables the 'cifX' PC card family to be used in harsh industrial environments; protection classes up to IP67 can be achieved. Thanks to the provider 's platform strategy, all existing components such as cables, firmware, configurations, tools and the 'cifX' hardware are completely identical and can be reused from existing systems and solutions, regardless of the connection technology.

Plug&Play replacement makes it possible to switch from RJ45 to D-coded M12 connectors in Real-Time Ethernet systems simply by adapting the housing. In addition to the M12 connectors, AIFX-RE\M12 offers the option of replacing the integrated LED light guides with a 10-pin LED connector.
This enables customers to implement individual LED concepts and realize protection classes up to IP67.
