Rethinking disaggregated infrastructure

Dell Technologies presented innovations for disaggregated data centers at Dell Technologies World 2025 in Las Vegas. They cover the areas of storage, cyber resilience, software and integrated partner systems. These infrastructures combine computing, storage and network resources in pools and combine them with software-supported automation, security functions and integrated partner systems.

Now Dell Technologies is expanding its disaggregated infrastructure portfolio with additional solutions. These include innovations for storage and cyber resilience such as the Dell PowerProtect Data Domain All-Flash Appliances for backups and the software of the software-defined scale-out NAS storage solution Dell PowerScale. With Dell PowerStore Advanced Ransomware Detection, downtime due to ransomware attacks can be minimized.

Automation of private cloud and edge operations

Dell software automates the deployment and management of disaggregated private cloud and edge solutions based on Dell infrastructure and partner technologies. Dell Private Cloud now offers an approach to provisioning, managing and scaling private clouds built on Dell IT systems with cloud software from Broadcom, Nutanix and Red Hat. Automation helps them to provision a private cloud stack in just a few steps and set up a cluster without manual effort in the shortest possible time. The private cloud is provided via the Dell Automation Platform. This software platform simplifies the deployment and operation of disaggregated solutions through zero-touch onboarding and centralized management.

The new features of the Dell NativeEdge edge orchestration platform enable virtualized workloads to be managed more efficiently at the edge and in branch offices. Critical data is secured with policy-based load balancing, VM snapshots, and backup and migration capabilities. Organizations have the ability to manage different edge environments consistently because NativeEdge also supports third-party and legacy infrastructures.

"With our disaggregated infrastructures, we are redefining the architecture of the intelligent enterprise," says Arthur Lewis, President Infrastructure Solutions Group at Dell Technologies.
