New Generation of Industrial Routers
Insys icom is expanding its product portfolio with Moros.neo, a new generation of routers designed for use in critical infrastructure and industrial environments.
It supports the latest mobile communications technologies, industrial routing and VPN functions, as well as flexible deployment options for remote maintenance, monitoring, and edge applications. A key component of the routers is their security concept. Thanks to the hardened 64-bit operating system “icom OS,” the device offers comprehensive security and networking features. Using the “icom Connectivity Suite – VPN (iCS),” users can connect the router to a VPN service for remote maintenance and integrate it into a central device management system via “icom Router Management (iRM).” Four clearly defined variants cover the relevant use cases. For users of the previous “Moros” generation and devices running the “Insys OS” operating system, the manufacturer offers an upgrade program that facilitates the transition to the new platform and the “icom OS” operating system.
