Configure and parameterize field devices easily
Endress+Hauser is now offering the Field Xpert tablet PC together with Softing's mobiLink interface as a bundle for parameterization and commissioning of field devices.
According to the manufacturer, this combination offers users a secure system solution for configuring and parameterizing field devices for the most important process automation protocols - HART, Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus. The bundle includes a 'Field Xpert SMT70' or 'SMT77' tablet with pre-installed CommDTMs, a 'mobiLink' interface that establishes the connection to the tablet via Bluetooth and an optional license to use 'mobiLink' for the configuration of Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus PA field devices. 'mobiLink' is available from Endress+Hauser under the name FieldPort SFP50. The tablet PC for device configuration can be used in Zone 2 or Zone 1 and also in non-hazardous areas and enables access to all field devices.
