The wireless gateway with IP66/67 housing from HMS Networks combines connection, communication processor and integrated antenna. It is mounted directly on the vehicle or a machine and communicates with the vehicle or machine control system via CAN. It supports J1939, CANopen and the transparent transmission of all CAN protocols.

Users can use the radio gateway to connect commercial vehicles or machines to a wireless network, whereby it can be either an access point or a wireless bridge. The range of the wireless connection is up to 100 m. The 'Anybus Wireless Bolt CAN' is mostly used as an access point to access the control network of commercial vehicles or machines via radio using a tablet or smartphone in order to query CAN data. However, it can also be an access point for up to seven WLAN/Bluetooth clients.
