Logger, bridge and range extender
With CANnector, HMS is adding a device with an extended range of interfaces and functions as well as a logging function to its 'Ixxat CAN@net NT' and 'CANbridge NT' series.
As it is compatible with the aforementioned devices, existing networks can be easily expanded. The CANnector also works stand-alone, i.e. no PC is required for actual operation. In addition to the generic device variants, three preconfigured variants are available: CANnector Range for simple CAN(FD) range extension via Ethernet or use as a CAN interface connected to the PC via Ethernet; CANnector Bridge, a frame- and signal-based CAN(FD) bridge/gateway; CANnector Log, a data logger with trigger and ring buffer as well as low-power sleep mode with wake-up on CAN(FD), for logging CAN(FD) data.
CANnector offers additional functions that enable, for example, live data visualization/stimulation with mobile devices (smartphone, tablet) via WLAN/WiFi and allow the device to be connected to the cloud via OPC-UA, MQTT or HMS Hub.
