Users can set up inline inspections, part localization and measurement tasks with the 2D vision sensor from Sick and the pre-installed 'Quality Inspection SensorApp'. The 2D vision sensor is installed mechanically using snap-in mounting. Various image processing tools that run directly on the camera can be configured via a PC with a standard web browser interface. Inspections can also be flexibly expanded or adapted; if required, there is the option to access the 'Intelligent Inspection Deep Learning SensorApp' for more sophisticated inspections.

The 2D vision sensor, measuring 50 mm x 40.3 mm x 29.6 mm, processes images with a resolution of up to 1.2 million pixels. Image processing takes place directly on the 2D vision sensor. The communication interfaces available include Ethernet TCP/IP, FTP, Ethernet/IP and Profinet fieldbuses.
