Vision Start-up 2020' winner has been announced
In a digital pitch session organized by the machine vision trade fair Vision and the VDMA, the race for the 'Vision Start-up 2020' award was decided between six candidates on 11 November 2020. The winner was HD Vision Systems.
The Heidelberg-based company was able to impress with its topic 'Light field and Deep Learning-based Machine Vision' - it was chosen as the winner with 39% of the votes cast. "We are thrilled to have won the Vision Start-up 2020 award! The Vision Start-up Pitch of Vision and the VDMA is a wonderful opportunity for us as a young company to make ourselves and our technology better known to a broad specialist audience," says Benedikt Karolus, COO/CFO of HD Vision Systems.
The winner can expect free participation in 'Vision Start-up World 2021' as well as media coverage through the various VDMA public relations channels.
Together with the VDMA Machine Vision department and the VDMA Startup-Machine network, Vision opened up the arena for young start-ups to present their innovations. 35 applications were received in advance. A jury nominated six companies from the field of machine vision and invited them to the digital pitch, which was attended by 124 viewers online and the winner was chosen at the end.
