Basler
Extended lighting control options
Basler equips almost all cameras with Basler's own 'SLP feature' for lighting control.
Basler's own SLP feature is available on the ace 2, boost R, ace U and ace L cameras, for example. In combination with the appropriate SLP controller, the SLP feature on the camera enables simple integration of the lighting into the vision system via the 'pylon' software. SLP controllers can either be integrated into the lights or used as external controllers with the supplier's standard lights. Thanks to the SLP feature, the lighting can be operated in various modes, such as continuous light, strobing (flash mode) or overdrive (operation with higher light intensity).
Basler is also expanding its Vision portfolio with two lighting controllers. The standard controllers for lighting control in a vision system are available with two (2C) or four (4C) channels. This means that two or up to four lightings for an application can be controlled by just one controller. With the lighting controllers, the lighting can be switched in a continuous mode or triggered synchronously with the camera (pulsed mode). The lighting control can be set either manually directly on the hardware or, in the case of the 4-channel controller, via a web interface.
