AI marketplace launched
On the IDS virtual AI marketplace, end customers have access to complete image processing solutions and can choose the right, ready-made application. This should open up new opportunities for image processing projects, especially for SMEs.
IDS has been working closely with start-ups and solution providers in the fields of machine vision and artificial intelligence for years - from hackathons to joint trade fair appearances. The AI marketplace is the next step in establishing contact between providers of ready-made machine vision solutions and interested end customers. "AI is a disruptive technology, which means that many of today's processes and applications could look completely different tomorrow because of it," explains Sigrid Rögner, Head of Business Innovation and Ecosystem at IDS Imaging Development Systems. The marketplace is therefore a particularly interesting platform for small and medium-sized companies to discover suitable solutions and implement them as easily as possible.
With the solutions offered, customers can, for example, anonymize faces and license plates during image analysis, control an operating unit in a contactless and controlled manner using eye movements or optimize assembly inspections and quality controls using AI-supported image processing. The platform also offers a variety of other interesting 'off-the-shelf' solutions that companies can use to implement pioneering applications. "Interested parties can see at a glance which topics the providers have already implemented and the price range of the solutions. Similar projects are usually no problem for the providers either," says Sigrid Rögner.
