Capture drawing information with AI
Version 11.8 of 'Simus classmate', a digitization solution for manufacturers and suppliers in mechanical and plant engineering from Simus Systems, integrates drawing information with 3D models using artificial intelligence (AI) and transports it to all connected CAD, ERP and PDM systems.
3D CAD models often do not contain all the information about material, tolerances, accuracy of fit, surface quality, thread specifications and other annotations that are required to manufacture a component. With the latest version of the tool from Simus Systems, companies can now analyze CAD drawing files and assign them to a CAD model in S3D format to fill in the missing information. The AI recognizes the annotations, dimensions and data, which are automatically and correctly assigned to the respective geometry elements in the 3D model.
