R&D for the digital transformation expanded

The Friedhelm Loh Group has expanded the resources of Eplan, Rittal and German Edge Cloud with technical expertise from Poland: The long-standing development partner Digital Technology Poland is now 100% part of the Group.

Eplan, Rittal and German Edge Cloud have been working with Digital Technology Poland (DTP) on development projects for some time. The Friedhelm Loh Group has now acquired 100% of the Polish company. With its R&D services and as a competence center, it will further strengthen the resources of Rittal and Eplan in control and switchgear engineering and German Edge Cloud in the data-sovereign digitization of factories, particularly in the area of software development.

Digital Technology Poland was founded in 2013 as an R&D company and engineering service provider and has established itself as a digitalization specialist with double-digit growth. The Polish engineering experts cover all phases of digital technology innovation for software and hardware, from idea and consulting to research, development, certification, product launch and maintenance. DTP is based in Zielona Gora, Poland. Today, the company employs 130 people at four locations. Research and development focuses on cloud services, big data & analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, smart robotics, image and video recognition and processing, IoT, augmented reality and 5G communication.
