To meet the requirements for a compact uninterruptible power supply (UPS), ABB is launching its MegaFlex DPA system with a power range of up to 1.5 or 1.6 MW. It is used in data centers, among other applications.

For the IEC version, the footprint is up to 45% smaller compared to models with the same rated power on the market. Other features include standardized power distribution architectures in accordance with the Uptime Institute classification system and EN 50600, converters in VFI (Voltage Frequency Independent) mode with an efficiency of up to 97.4%, compatibility with lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries, optional redundant power of 1000 kW N+1 and 1250 kW N+1 and connectivity for optional communication cards, including SNMP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RS-485. A graphical system display can be used to output measured values, events and alarms
